The 9 Muses
The Muses are the Greek goddesses who preside over the Arts and Sciences and inspire those who excel at these persuits. The where the daughters of Zeuse and Mnemosyne. They where born at the foot of Mount Olympus. The word Muse means memory or a reminder. Sacrifices to the Muses consisted of libations of water, milk, or Honey. Apollo was the leader of the choir of the Muses.
