Artemis
Artemis was the daughter of Leto and Zeus. Apollo and Artemis where twins. Artemis was the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt, wild animals, and fertility. She was on of the Olympians and was very positve. In Ephesus a great Temple was built in her honor. Artemis and Apollo where also bringers of sudden death and disease. Artemis is the goddes of fertility because immediately following her birth, she assisted her mother in the birth of Apollo. Artemis means uninjured, healthy, ligorous, and grants strength and health to others. Artemis was discribed as a Virgin goddess so she had no children. Artemis usually an an eternally young woman, beautiful and vigorous, wearing a short dress leaving her legs free.
